About the position
My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Marketing & Brand Manager - Textiles/Retail to join their team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary Qualification - preferably in Marketing, Business, Textile Studies, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English and Afrikaans desirable.
- Exposure to retail, FMCG, or textiles sectors advantageous but not mandatory for interns.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media, and market research methodologies is a plus.
- Intern Potential: A recent graduate with relevant coursework or internships in marketing, retail, or textiles can be considered; practical exposure to campaigns, research, and reporting will be key development areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans under supervision.
- Support execution of marketing campaigns, analyzing results and impact on sales.
- Conduct research on industry trends, customer behavior, and innovation opportunities.
- Ensure marketing communications reflect the brand's values and guidelines.
- Contribute to pricing and commercial term discussions to support profitability.
- Support new product range development aligned with brand positioning and customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to drive coordinated efforts.
- Help prepare and present sales data and forecasts with guidance from senior staff.
- Intern Potential: Graduates can start by supporting research, campaign execution, reporting, and cross-functional coordination, gradually learning commercial negotiation and brand strategy.
