Market Research Analyst

About the position

A specialized, turnkey property development marketing agency based in South Africa is seeking a Research Analyst (hybrid and 6-month contract - will go permanent)  who will deliver high-quality market intelligence across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use property developments.

Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct comparative market and gap analyses across property sectors. Design online surveys, analyze findings, and translate raw data into strategic insights and area profiles.
  
  
• Project Management & Client Delivery: End-to-end management of research projects to meet deadlines and client briefs. Support client presentations and effectively communicate actionable findings.
  
  
• Data Quality & AI Integration: Analyze industry datasets (e.g., Lightstone, SAPOA, Rode, TPN). Perform quality assurance on all outputs for accuracy and consistency, leveraging AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to boost efficiency without compromising analytical oversight.
  
  
• Leadership & Development: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Market Researchers and interns while contributing to continuous process improvement.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical Expertise: Advanced MS Excel, large dataset analysis, and proficiency with real estate data platforms. Hands-on experience using AI tools for research workflows.
  
  
• Analytical & Communication: Superior critical thinking, report writing, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  
  
• Personal Attributes: Highly analytical, commercially aware, self-driven, accountable, and collaborative.
