About the position
- The core purpose of the role is to guarantee a level of quality for IT solutions and to assist the software development team to identify problems early in the process.
- Responsible for Test Planning (test strategies), analysis, execution and reporting according to software testing best practices.
- Extract and create test requirements and test cases from BRD, FRD and FDD documents.
- Manage test environments and ensure that they are implemented in line with set up requirements.
- Stakeholder management – liaison with key business-units representatives to review system requirements and verify that solutions are implemented according to requirements; customers; service providers; industry representatives; and external product suppliers.
- Manage analysis sessions to ensure appropriate input, and subsequent sign-off of, all testing deliverables.
- Manage defects by using the test management tool.
- Co-ordinate UAT testing with business and external vendors.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through developing a hands on understanding of business unit and functional department needs and requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Requirements and experience required:
- Matric plus IT Degree / IT Diploma.
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent (ISEB) compulsory.
- Must have worked in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment.
- 5 years minimum work experience in manual software testing with development experience.
Essential skills and knowledge required:
- Manual testing experience.
- OpenText ALM testing tool compulsory.
- Integration testing.
- Testing with multiple vendors.
- Microsoft Dynamics Implementation.
- Specialist knowledge of the software development and testing processes, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, testing methodologies and deployment management.
- Understanding change management processes.
- Understand ERP and CRM Systems.
- Technical integration testing (iPaaS).
- Data migration testing.
- Security testing.
