An institution focused on advancing sustainable development and economic inclusion in South Africa’s agricultural economy is seeking a results-driven Manager: Funding to join its Finance and Treasury division.

Key Responsibilities:
- Funding Strategy & Execution
- Lead the execution of funding activities across money and capital markets.
- Monitor funding instruments and adjust maturity profiles in line with market dynamics and strategic liquidity needs.
- Liquidity & Investment Management
- Proactively manage liquidity positions, overdrafts, and overnight facilities.
- Optimise returns on surplus funds while maintaining capital preservation and regulatory compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key point of contact for National Treasury, institutional investors, JSE sponsors, legal advisers, and funding partners.
- Oversee the preparation of key financial reports including cash flow forecasts and debt maturity profiles.
- Governance & Reporting
- Prepare reports for the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) and Liquidity Committees.
- Ensure full compliance with internal controls and external regulatory frameworks.
- Market Monitoring
- Track and interpret market trends and volatility to inform funding and investment decisions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (BCom or equivalent)
- Registered Persons Exam (RPE) completed
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Treasury Front Office environment, with hands-on exposure to money market instruments and institutional funding operations
- Deep knowledge of South African capital markets, liquidity management, and financial compliance
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Reuters Trading Platform, and financial reporting systems
- Familiar with JSE Nutron Booking System and relevant treasury tools
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and funders
