ECONOMIC GROWTH - PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS
MANAGER: TRANSVERSAL REAL ESTATE
TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1 467 756 TO R1 934 326 PER ANNUM - REF NO: EG 10/24
Requirements:
- Relevant BTech or first degree
- Up to eight (8) years' relevant experience required at a senior level
- Relevant experience pertaining to real estate and property management
- Knowledge of local government municipal functions and related legislation and policies would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of corporate governance principles as well as project management principles and practices
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Valid Code B driver's licence.
Key performance areas:
- Develop, maintain, coordinate and manage the built environment professional transversal real estate service operations
- Lead and direct the Market Valuation Section
- Provide input into policy and promotes business strategy
- Manage the GIS and Survey function of the Department
- Manage the Market Valuations section of the Department
- Responsible for Land Management functions
- Comply with relevant legislation, ensure optimal use and return on City-owned immovable property and control outputs of Section in respect of products, services and business plan including quality
- Manage any queries which affect the status of property within the asset responsibility portfolio of Property Transactions Department
- Manage and oversee the property handover process, the investigation of properties and the consideration of unsolicited applications/bids from external stakeholders
- Manage and oversee the scoping, development, integration and maintenance of a suite of data and business system solutions, an appropriate strategy and operational management plan
- Manage processes to ensure that all contracts are effectively managed in accordance with best practice and the prevailing legislative framework.
