Location: Small town in North West Province
We are seeking an experienced Labour Relations & Transformation Manager to drive our labour relations strategy and champion meaningful organisational transformation. In this strategic role, you will ensure legal compliance, promote fair labour practices, and lead the implementation of our B-BBEE and Employment Equity (EE) frameworks. Helping to build a positive, progressive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Labour Relations Leadership
- Develop, update, and implement labour relations policies aligned with South African legislation and organisational values.
- Provide expert guidance on investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, arbitrations, and labour court cases.
- Build constructive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives to support healthy industrial relations.
- Represent the organisation at the CCMA and bargaining councils, ensuring fair and balanced outcomes.
- Monitor legislative changes, identify risks, and advise leadership accordingly.
Transformation & B-BBEE
- Design and execute a company-wide transformation strategy aligned with B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.
- Lead internal data processes for B-BBEE verification and work closely with verification agencies to drive continuous scorecard improvement.
- Manage EE reporting and submissions to the Department of Labour.
- Chair the Employment Equity Committee and guide initiatives across B-BBEE pillars such as employment equity, procurement, and skills development.
Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Support
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on labour legislation, transformation, and compliance.
- Analyse labour relations and EE data to provide insights that support strategic planning.
- Develop and deliver training and communication initiatives related to transformation and employee relations.
Minimum Requirements
- LLB degree or equivalent, with admission as an attorney or advocate of the High Court.
- At least 10 years’ senior/managerial experience in labour relations and transformation.
- Strong knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EE Act, Skills Development Act, and B-BBEE Act and Codes.
- Proven representation experience at CCMA, labour court, and/or bargaining councils.
- Advanced MS Office proficiency.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English; proficiency in Setswana is a strong advantage.
