About the position

Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of agriculture in South Africa. My client a leading financial institution is looking for a dynamic strategist to lead high-impact partnerships that empower farmers, unlock funding, and drive transformation across the agricultural value chain. If you thrive on building relationships and delivering results that matter-this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships across public and private sectors
  • Lead implementation of agricultural support projects and initiatives
  • Drive Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD) programmes
  • Raise funding and expand farmer outreach
  • Support pre- and post-investment success
  • Manage team performance and planning

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Science, or Communications
  • 3+ years in management; 5+ years in ESD, ideally within agriculture
  • Strong stakeholder and partnership development skills
  • Solid knowledge of PFMA, ESD, and agricultural value chains

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of event planning policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Social media and digital content awareness
  • Microsoft Office

Desired Work Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years
