Main purpose of the role
Quality Assurance (QA) Warehouse Responsible Pharmacist ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products within a warehouse environment. The successful candidate will oversee adherence to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines, Good Pharmacy Practice, Good Documentation Practice, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting audits, managing product recalls, verifying stock records, product QC checks, releasing and freezing of products, ensuring proper storage conditions and managing and training staff on regulatory compliance. The QA Warehouse Responsible Pharmacist also collaborates with internal teams to resolve quality issues, investigate deviations, and maintain robust documentation. The Responsible Phamacist role is critical in ensuring that all products are stored and distributed without compromising their quality or safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include: • Management of QA team and ensuring daily duties for the team are adhered to as per the roster • Management of Self inspections or internal audits • Management of external audits by clients and regulatory authorities • Ensuring adherence with SAHPRA and SAPC regulations • Documentation and tracking of CAPAs and deviations • Management of spill kit records • Management of pest control • Ensuring calibration of scales and probes are done timeously and accurately by service providers • Management of house keeping for the warehouse • Ensure timeous and accurate completion ofwarehouse temperature and humiduty mapping
