About the position

My client a leading agricultural finance institution supporting South Africa's commercial and emerging farmers is seeking an experienced professional to manage its marketing events and sponsorships. The role focuses on planning and executing strategic events, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a tactical plan for events and sponsorships.
  • Coordinate event logistics, marketing content, and internal collaboration.
  • Manage sponsor relationships and oversee contracts and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with governance policies and safety standards.
  • Monitor budgets, track performance, and conduct post-event evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Marketing, Events Management, or Hospitality.
  • 5+ years' experience in event coordination and sponsorship management.
  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury regulations, and safety legislation.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge/Experience of Sponsorship Management and Event Planning
  • Knowledge of Events and Sponsorship trends
  • Knowledge of PFMA
  • Occupational Health and safety legislation
  • Budget management Principles
  • Treasury Regulations related to sponsorships & events
