We're recruiting on behalf of a respected South African development finance institution and are looking for a Manager: Credit Risk Monitoring who enjoys working at the intersection of governance, insight, and impact.

What you'll be involved in

• Monitoring and reporting on credit risk across multiple portfolios
• Ensuring credit policies, governance frameworks, and charters remain aligned to Basel principles and IFRS 9
• Attending and overseeing credit committees, with the confidence to flag and challenge non-compliance when necessary
• Tracking high-risk accounts, covenant breaches, and watch-list exposures
• Preparing clear, insightful dashboards and reports for EXCO, Board, and key governance committees
• Reviewing past credit decisions to identify trends, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities
• Staying up to date with credit risk developments and best practice to strengthen the institution's risk approach

What our client is looking for

• A BCom or equivalent 3-year qualification (postgraduate qualification in Credit Risk is advantageous)
• At least 5 years' experience in credit risk management
• Strong working knowledge of credit policies, IFRS 9, and prudential limits
• Sound analytical ability, strong reporting skills, and the confidence to engage at senior and executive level
