Manager: Business Continuity & Operational Resilience

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services institution seeking an experienced Manager: Business Continuity & Operational Resilience to join their Risk Management division. This role is integral to safeguarding the organisation’s ability to operate effectively in the face of disruptions, while ensuring compliance with best practice frameworks and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme, ensuring frameworks, policies, and procedures align with international best practice.
- Oversee emergency response readiness, including team enablement, training, simulations, and post-event analysis.
- Conduct Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and drive the development, implementation, and testing of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across business units.
- Strengthen the organisation’s operational resilience by coordinating IT Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and ensuring recoverability of critical systems and processes.
- Manage the Crisis Management function, including communication strategies, leadership mobilisation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide insights, analysis, and benchmarking to senior leadership, ensuring resilience capabilities remain robust and continuously improved.
- Represent the organisation at external forums and contribute to industry best practices in risk and resilience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Business Management, Risk Management, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Business Continuity Management, including emergency and crisis management.
- Strong experience (minimum 4 years) in IT Disaster Recovery.
- At least 2 years’ experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
- Solid knowledge of risk management, BCM frameworks, IT governance, and project management principles.

- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability.
- Proven leadership in high-pressure and crisis situations.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel and work extended/off-site hours when required.
- Ability to activate recovery sites and initiate emergency interventions.
