About the position
Main Purpose: Make-up Artist drives events/promotional activities in retailers. Ensure brand product trainings are conducted to drive sales growth across axis. Develop and grow Brand Beauty Ambassadors.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Make-up artist
- Training (classroom and on counter) on Make up, Skincare and Fragrance for cross selling.
- Drive Sales at counters through make-up artist events and BA coaching
- Implementation of launches, key promotions & counter standards
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Arrange, co-ordinate and implement monthly Make-up artist events at 3 Axe doors, building brand awareness and driving sales on Make up, Skincare and Fragrances.
- Arrange, co-ordinate & implement monthly / bi-monthly BA trainings (classroom or on counter).
- Adapt, manage, and maintain all training assets as received from International and implement new concepts, & techniques to keep training fresh, exciting and at the same luxury standard as the brand.
- Train, develop & coach BAs on problem areas where necessary. (Product or business acumen)
- Conduct on-counter BA training - drive application, sell-through, and workshop capabilities.
- Review and asses' trainings via written and/or practical assessments and from feedback received from AM teams.
- Complete planning and feedback reports for BM and International Education department.
- Drive motivation levels through communicating brand highlights & strengths, encouraging pride and nurturing a good spirit among BA.
Stimulate open & regular communication with BAs to ensure close affiliation with the brand.
Assist in driving and monitoring sell-out targets per counter per category as well as for planned events or workshops.
- Assist in coordinating larger on-counter or off-site MU events & promotions according to the launch plan & budgets.
- Conduct store visits based on business and coaching needs weekly, spending minimum of 3 days in trade (including 2 Saturdays per month with planned events based on counter needs and events calendar).
- Suggest corrective stock injections to AM/NSM when the need arises (such as stock shortages & stock discrepancies).
- Suggest and follow up on in store merchandising opportunities improving the brands overall in store visibility, ensuring best in class standards.
OTHER
- Ensure appropriate support levels are allocated towards the development of new counters - tools, counter management system, sampling, etc.
- Monitor BA discipline at counters (customer cards, loyalty program, and tester hygiene) and direct BA's where necessary.
- Assist in recruitment & assignment of BAs to avoid open vacancies & ensure coverage of counters at all times.
- Identify new sales opportunities & assist in conceptualizing sales strategies accordingly.
- Ensuring that labor law policies & procedures are always followed by consulting with AM/NSM, HR and Retailer HR when disciplinary action needs to be taken.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- Code 8 driver's license.
- Make-up or related formal qualification
- A minimum of five years' retail experience.
- IT Skills - PowerPoint , Excel & Word - intermediate level
