Our client a proudly South African Company, specializes in the manufacture and distribution of heavy duty truck Bullbars, truck accessories and Lite commercial vehicle retractable covers and styling bars.
Role: Maintenance Technician - Millwright - Artisan
Electrical / Mechanical)
Location: Mahogany Ridge , Pinetown
Qualified Millwright or equivalent
- Grade 12, Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification. 5-year experience in Automotive manufacturing as a Millwright/ Artisan in a maintenance environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Lasers is preferred
- Must have your own transportation
- Clear criminal record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Use of systems and ability to develop systems
- Comply with and have an understanding of ISO 9001 and 14 001
- Technical faults detection (Basic) on Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical equipment: Ability to diagnose faults and preventative action to be taken to resolve.
- Effective communication skills.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Execution of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Machine inspection, preventative maintenance, servicing.
- Production Jigs, trolleys conditions inspection and repairing.
- Actively perform daily inspections of each facility, manage reduce abnormal failures by performing daily inspections and maintenance on machines. Keep supervisor informed to avoid delay.
- Operations weekly basic maintenance monitoring (Cleaning of equipment).
- Portable/Hand Power tools conditions assessing and repairing.
- Breakdown reports capturing.
- After hours equipment breakdown attendance – Standby.
- Building maintenance.
- Forklift & Vehicle maintenance.
Safety
- Compliance with all company, legal common practice and safety precautions.
- Ensure all safety Regulations are always adhered to.
- Ensuring that tools and equipment used are safe and appropriate for the application.
- Adhere to safety requirements and actively participate to improve Safety in the workplace.
- Ensure Lockout procedures all always maintained when working with equipment.
