About the position

A plastics manufacturing company based on the East Rand is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join team!
Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in plastics manufacturing (injection/blow moulding or film blowing)
  • Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills; electrical/hydraulic experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently without support staff
  • Proficient in MS Office; excellent problem-solving and communication skills


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair injection moulding machinery and ancillary equipment (e.g., dryers, chillers, conveyors)
  • Perform mould, vehicle, forklift, and basic building maintenance
  • Minimise downtime and keep accurate maintenance records
  • Collaborate with production teams on scheduling
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
