About the position

• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on plant and production equipment.
• Maintain and repair compressors, condensers, vacuum pumps, temperature control equipment, agitators, mixers and freeze dryers.
• Service refrigeration systems, cooling water systems, chillers, cooling towers and reverse osmosis (RO) water systems.
• Conduct equipment inspections and instrument calibration to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards and documentation in line with company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), safety regulations and company procedures.
• Assist with stock control and maintain an organised, clean and safe working environment.
• Support production and service delivery operations across all company departments.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance call-outs when required.
• Assist with equipment improvements, troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
• Undertake relevant training in first aid, health and safety, firefighting and GMP practices where required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS




- Must have Grade 10 - 12
- Must have over 5 years experience working as Maintenance Technician
- Technically qualified and trade tested - Mechanical / Millwright / Mechatronics
- Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance role
- Knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements
- Experience working in a cGMP environment would be advantageous
- Experience with freeze dry and refrigeration maintenance will be advantageous
