Maintenance Supervisor

About the position

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Maintenance Supervisor to join our Asset Care team. The successful candidate will play a critical role to co-ordinate, coach and control the activities of the level one maintenance teams in the production environment and to provide specialist technical advice to ensure maximum equipment availability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with development of maintenance plan.
• Execute maintenance activities.
• Ensure that correct spares are available.
• Ensure correct tools are available.
• Conduct planned job observations.
• Manage issues emanating from system usage reports
• Ensure asset care business process are adhered to
• Implement safety, health & environmental legislation and procedures.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
• Ensure that artisans execute maintenance plan to standard and optimise artisan time utilisation.
• Develop employees
• Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate

Requirements

• Grade 12
• FTC (Electrical ) or Mechanical trades certificate or Diploma
• Ideal - Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
• Working knowledge of the occupational health and safety including LOTO and work permit
• Minimum 1-2 in engineering supervisory role
• Engineering maintenance experience within the Malting, Packaging or Brewing Industry or FCMG
• Knowledge of WCM MEP strategies and initiatives
• Familiarity with maintenance systems ( eg. SAP )
• Good understanding of Malting, Packaging ,Brewing and Utilities operational processes and technologies Proven leadership skills
• Analytic problem solver
• Influencing ability with regards to Asset Care
