About the position

Duties & Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain and improve the maintenance and scheduling by maximizing shopware potential
• Prioritise maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair/preventative/ predictive maintenance tasks
• Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
• Liase with suppliers and purchase all necessary parts, equipment services in order to perform all maintenance tasks
• Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect free maintenance
• Responsible for upkeep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database
• Apply good stores management practices and parts management to ensure parts and equipment availability
• Schedule maintenance work into production plan
• Ensure KPI are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance, and planning and scheduling
• Collaborate with supervisor to schedule manpower and resource for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes
• Responsible for the maintenance library
• Ensure any and all equipment or parts leaving the plant for repairs are formally documented

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Diploma/ Degree Engineering
• Matric

• Minimum of 3- 5 (five) years' maintenance experience in FMCG.
• Meat industry specific advantageous
