About the position

Maintenance Manager
Maintenance Manager
Job Duties: 

  • Perform general maintenance on factory, machinery, and building (interior/exterior).
  • Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment according to checklists and SOPs.
  • Implement and manage preventative maintenance plans.
  • Monitor fuel levels and coordinate with contractors for after-hours/weekend support.
  • Respond to breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Communicate major breakdowns and action plans to management.
  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff and refrigeration technician.
  • Allocate shifts, manage performance, and provide on-the-job training.
  • Process and schedule all maintenance job requests, inspections, and hygiene checks.
  • Order parts/tools, manage inventory, and control maintenance budget and Capex planning.
  • Conduct monthly stock counts in maintenance storeroom and maintain OMNI system.
  • Source, manage, and ensure compliance of external contractors on-site.
  • Monitor and maintain all production machinery for functionality and hygiene.
  • Support production team, including weekend and Sunday operations.
  • Enforce Health & Safety compliance, PPE use, incident reporting, and emergency readiness.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years in food industry, management, and maintenance
  • 5+ years in refrigeration
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Matric with N3 Electrical & Mechanical
  • Refrigeration certificate (advantageous)
  • ISO 22000 / food safety knowledge
  • ND/BTech/BEng (advantageous)
  • GCC (in progress or completed) is an advantage
