About the position

A leading Furniture Manufacturer situated in the South of Johannesburg is seeking to employ a Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee the maintenance department with following duties and responsibilities, whilst also overseeing the Cleaning Department.

MIN REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate MUST meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration or facility management
• Minimum experience of 10 years in a supervisory role
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
• Effective communication and people management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

JOB SPECIFICATION:
The successful candidate will be responsible to:

• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
• Maintain subordinate discipline within the guidelines of the company's disciplinary code of conduct
• Document all procedures within your department
• Manage KRA process with your senior subordinates
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
• Daily tour of plant to check functionality and possible operator complaints.
• Regular inspections to detect and pre-empt potential failures.
• Maintenance forecast for preventative maintenance.
• Preventative maintenance to be performed timeously.
• Preventative maintenance scheduling and overseeing.
• Project planning and overseeing of project execution.
• Breakdown response, procurement and execution.
• Workload prioritizing and time management by job card allocation.
• Time management by tracking job card planned V/S actual time.
• Setup service spares inventory to hold in hand for next due service.
