Mainframe MQ Security SME

About the position

We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe MQ Security SME to support a critical remediation project for a leading client environment. The successful candidate will provide specialist expertise in IBM MQ on Mainframe environments, with a strong focus on Broadcom Top Secret (TSS) security administration and audit remediation.


This role is project-based and requires an experienced subject matter expert with deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in securing MQ Mainframe environments.


 


Key Responsibilities

• Assist with MQ Mainframe security remediation activities relating to current audit findings.


• Analyse and isolate security patterns for:




• Batch environments.


• CICS environments.


• User access management.


• Third-party tool integrations.




• Collaborate with engineering teams and MQ Mainframe SMEs to implement secure access controls and best practices.


• Support the implementation of security improvements ahead of the project deadline.


• Provide technical guidance and recommendations aligned with enterprise security standards and Zero-Trust principles.

 


Contract Details

• Contract / project-based opportunity.


• Immediate availability preferred.


• Deadline-driven environment with remediation completion required before September.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe environments.


• Proven applied experience with IBM MQ on z/OS.


• Strong expertise in Broadcom / CA Top Secret (TSS) administration and security management.


• Extensive experience working within enterprise Mainframe security environments.


• Ability to troubleshoot and remediate MQ security-related audit findings.


• Strong understanding of DevOps principles within Mainframe environments.
