About the position
Our client is looking for a skilled Machine Operator from the Food Industry to join their team in Kempton Park, GP. The company is a key player in the food processing and packaging sector, focusing on delivering fresh, high-quality products efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth machine operations, maintain production standards, and contribute to a seamless manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate machinery before production begins.
- Perform regular machine checks, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Monitor and adjust machine performance and settings.
- Conduct routine tests to assess machine capability.
- Inspect equipment using appropriate tools.
- Load raw materials into semi-automated machines and assist the assembly line.
- Identify and report (or fix) malfunctions or defects.
- Check output quality and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of machine activity, defects, and final products.
- Submit regular performance reports.
Requirements:
- Experience operating industrial machinery (band saws, graters, sealing machines, or similar).
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control.
- Willingness to undergo training for new equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
