Logistics Supervisor (KZN)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

COORDINATE daily warehouse activities of the KwaZulu-Natal division of a dynamic Internet Service & Network Specialist seeking its next Logistics Supervisor. You will be involved in stock control, verification and preservation and Security Control and Risk Management. Applicants must have completed Matric/Grade 12 with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role with MS Office – Outlook and Excel, and SHEQ - ISO[Phone Number Removed]; proficiency. You will also require experience in driving a continual improvement.

 

DUTIES:

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities (receiving, picking, packing and dispatch).
• Ensure correct stock receiving and binning of goods.
• Coordinate returns, damaged goods and discrepancies.
• Stock management of the inventory system and the physical inventory within the KZN warehouse.
• Stock management inclusive of stock control, verification and preservation of product.
• Control of all security systems and risk management of the facility and stock.
• Plan and schedule driver deliveries.
• Manage and maintain company delivery vehicles.
• Document control.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance to the OHS Act and Policy by understanding individual responsibility.
• Promote awareness amongst co-workers and add value through reporting of incident/hazards or suggestions for continuous improvement.

 

KPA’s –

• Stock takes (full and cycle) resolving of variances and reporting.
• Document storage aligned to policy.
• Timeous receiving, returns and dispatch of stock.
• Stock and order picking accuracy.
• Enforce security measures.
• Ensure that company delivery vehicles are well maintained.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric \ Grade 12 (Compulsory).
• Supply Chain Management Qualification will be advantageous.
• 2-3 Years’ experience in a similar role.
• Reading, writing and communication (English).
• MS Office – Outlook and Excel.
• SHEQ - ISO[Phone Number Removed]; proficient.
• Sage X3 experience will be advantageous.
• Demonstrable time management skills, good people management, leadership and organisational skills.
• Experience in driving a continual improvement.
• Daily communications with senior management.
• Ability to resolve queries.
• Valid Driver License and own reliable vehicle.
