LOGISTICS - PROJECT PLANNER & QUOTING SPECIALIST
This company is successful in creating a tech based system to assist companies with the movement of goods internationally, door to door through its online platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing new and existing projects from and board and attending to daily client queries. You will collaborate and work with the Senior Quotes team to assist with inputting received quotations onto the COMPANIES platform and the administration associated with capturing required line items and information.
Success in this role depends on a variety of factors, including time management; multi-tasking; out of the box thinking; working independently; feedback and development; attention to detail. You should have a strong personality as the team deal with global clients with varying demands in a highly pressurized and time sensitive environment.
General Information:
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and collate quote information and liaise with the Senior quotations team
- Facilitate quote requests and queries
- Log and track quotes
- Liaise with the Senior Quotation Specialists team to ensure all costs are fair and equitable
- Liaise with the Account Managers regarding client requirements and obtaining further information for quoting
- Liaise with the finance department on any billing queries they have on the quote and final invoice
- Support the Senior Quotation Specialists team with demand peaks
- Review and update quotations where appropriate
- Raise initial queries to the Senior Quotation Specialists team on suppliers for any missing quote information
- Monitoring and manage the Quotations mailbox and distribute, action or file accordingly in a timely manner
- Keep abreast of country and supplier requirements when quoting
- Assist with the preparation of and required checks for compliance documents
- Manage delayed shipments and find creative solutions to resolve.
- Verify final details and documentation of delivered shipments
- Knowledge share and reporting
- Collaborate with the various departments for platform improvement, claim resolve, client management etc
- Identify new opportunities within the business
Qualities and skills, we require

- Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in business administration, logistics, sales or a related field
- Have a strong personality, with preferably 1 + year of experience working with customers and problem solving
- Exceptional communication

- You can handle several shipments and queries simultaneously, excellent multitasking skills

- Are open to working flexible hours in that some overtime work may be required or to work on public holidays (rotational basis)
