About the position
Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing warehouse and logistics operations to ensure the right products are delivered to the correct location on time, at the required quality, and in the most cost-effective manner.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Warehousing, Logistics or Supply Chain with 7 years’ experience in warehousing/logistics, including 3 years’ team management experience. Automotive industry experience. Strong knowledge of inventory management, ERP systems (SYSPRO), and advanced Excel required.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Logistics Management
- Oversee daily operations of the FG Warehouse, IS Warehouse and consumable stores.
- Ensure efficient receiving, storage and dispatch of goods.
- Plan and coordinate deliveries to optimise supply chain efficiency.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock control, including FIFO, cycle counts and stock levels.
- Monitor ageing and excess stock and update ERP systems accordingly.
People Management
- Lead, coach and develop the warehouse and logistics team.
- Manage performance, training, communication and disciplinary matters.
Cost & Performance Management
- Manage logistics budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to enhance operational performance.
Customer Service & Compliance
- Ensure on-time delivery and strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Maintain compliance with company standards, quality requirements and safety regulations.
- Provide accurate operational and management reporting.
