About the position
This is a quality-driven recruitment exercise for a client who prioritises technical excellence and cultural fit. We are looking for a hands-on, site-experienced professional with a proven track record in construction site logistics – not warehousing, supply chain, or transport-only backgrounds. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily logistics operations on site, ensuring efficient material movement, site establishment, welfare maintenance, and compliance with safety and commercial standards.
Position Available: Logistics Foreman – x1 – Large-scale mixed-use megadevelopment, Abu Dhabi
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in construction logistics or site operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with logistics planning, site establishment, material handling, lifting operations, and safety protocols.
- Coordination Skills: Strong ability to coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams.
- Administrative Skills: Experience in record keeping and documentation.
- Personal Attributes: Effective communication and leadership skills; high attention to detail; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment; basic computer and mobile app literacy for documentation and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Allocate labour resources for logistics activities – edge protection, material shifting, and site establishment.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records for plant and operator allocation, with strong commercial awareness.
- Monitor third-party certifications for operators, riggers, and plant equipment – request renewals when required.
- Conduct DSTIs and toolbox talks – communicate Method Statements to logistics ground teams.
- Manage diesel filling operations – including request tracking and log maintenance.
- Oversee welfare area establishment and upkeep across the site.
- Interpret project drawings, details, and specifications to implement logistics layouts effectively.
- Understand work sequences and raise Purchase Requests (PRs) for required logistics materials (hoist bolts, ramps, and other consumables).
- Ensure compliance with general site safety rules and regulations.
- Supervise traffic management and plant flagmen to maintain safe and efficient site movement.
- Coordinate with civil, fit-out, and MEP contractors to allocate working/storage areas per the logistics plan.
- Apply basic knowledge of lifting activities, temporary works, optimized material movements, Just-in-Time (JiT) deliveries, and lift plans to support site operations.
- Provide on-site supervision and prepare logistics-related data for commercial reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of plant and labour usage for commercial documentation and analysis.
