About the position
Our Client, an established mining operation is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support site operations through effective logistics, warehousing and supply chain coordination.
This role is responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring the availability of critical equipment and consumables, and maintaining efficient warehouse and inventory systems in a safety-critical environment.
Please note:
This is a site based role located approximately 50km outside of Polokwane.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in logistics or supply chain roles
- Experience in mining, construction or heavy industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations, warehousing and inventory control
- Proficient in MS Office and logistics or ERP systems
- Valid drivers licence
- Experience supervising or coordinating logistics teams
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics including transport coordination and delivery scheduling
- Supervise site warehousing, stock control and inventory management systems
- Ensure timely availability of equipment, consumables and critical operational supplies
- Liaise with suppliers, transport contractors and internal departments
- Enforce safety, compliance and documentation requirements across logistics activities
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
