About the position
A leading organisation within the fruit export industry is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join its logistics team.
This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating export logistics, stock movement, cold store activities, freight forwarding and shipping administration, ensuring fruit reaches international markets efficiently, accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily load-outs, stock allocation and container loading
- Manage vessel bookings, ETDs, ETAs and shipping deadlines
- Maintain accurate stock records, reconciliations and traceability
- Coordinate cold store, transporter and freight forwarder activities
- Prepare forecasts and plan vessel space requirements
- Manage shipping documentation, labels, permits and compliance requirements
- Identify and resolve logistical challenges and disruptions
- Monitor stock age, quality requirements and destination market compliance
- Provide operational and administrative support to the commercial team
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the fruit export industry
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Strong understanding of export, shipping and cold store processes
- Experience with stock control and reconciliation
- Strong Excel and Outlook skills
- QX system experience highly advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
