About the position

Vacancy exists at well known food manufacturer for a Logistics Controller who will oversee day-to-day operations including fleet management, stores and inventory control, daily dispatch and receiving, and supervision of assigned logistics staff. Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the completion of tasks assigned to logistics supervisors and staff, including shift planning, task delegation, and controlling overtime.
Assist with updating and implementing logistics policies and procedures as needed.
Manage the full fleet of trucks and forklifts, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance.
Supervise store management, ensuring good store practices, regular housekeeping, audits, and timely corrective action.
Maintain full stock control through cycle counts, annual stock takes, and managing stock movements between departments, adhering strictly to FIFO principles.
Ensure all administrative records, reconciliations, and reports are accurate and up to date.
Ensure compliance with company code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
Oversee that dispatch and receiving processes are carried out accurately and within set timelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all responsible areas.
Report directly to the Logistics Manager.

Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) and a relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
2-3 years' experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role.
