About the position
A logistics clerk's duties involve coordinating and tracking shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient and accurate movement of goods, often working with warehouse and shipping departments to ensure timely deliveries and handle paperwork.
Inventory Management:
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements.
- Performing cycle counts and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
- Ensuring proper storage and handling of goods.
Shipment Coordination:
- Coordinating and scheduling shipments and deliveries.
- Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers.
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Communicating with vendors, suppliers, and customers regarding logistics.
Documentation and Administration:
- Preparing and maintaining shipping documents, such as invoices and packing lists.
- Entering data into logistics systems and generating reports.
- Assisting with administrative tasks and data entry
Problem-Solving and Support:
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to orders or shipments.
- Providing customer service and addressing inquiries related to shipments.
- Supporting the logistics team with various tasks
Other Responsibilities:
- Receiving and unloading goods.
- Sorting and repacking goods.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

About The Employer:
Our client based in Maitland is looking to acquire an experience Logistics Clerk that will be based in one of their Sites in Maitland. The succesful candidate should possesses the following skills and experience:
Minimum Requirements
- Matric is essential
- Minimum 2 years experience in Logistics
- Must be computer literate
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Logistics Diploma/ National certificate and experience with containers will be advantageous.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have own and reliable transport
