About the Role
We're looking for a Logistics Assistant to support the smooth running of our day-to-day logistics operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, hands-on, and eager to learn more about supply chain and logistics processes.
The successful candidate will assist with inventory management, handling and distribution, and general administrative support to ensure goods are moved, stored, and delivered efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
Inventory & Stock Management
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock checks and support with inventory data reporting.
Handling & Distribution
- Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Coordinate deliveries with couriers and transport teams.
- Keep records of shipments, deliveries, and returned goods up to date.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Organize and maintain clean, efficient storage areas.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Support logistics coordinators with planning and scheduling shipments.
- Communicate with suppliers and transport providers when required.
- Process invoices, shipping documents, and purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and deliveries.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum: Matric / High School Diploma.
- Experience: 1+ year in logistics,warehouse operations, or supply chain support is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of handling packages when required.
- Driver's Licence (required).
- Logistics Assistants need to be open and willing to deploy and work on remote locations, as and when required for support, and for prolonged periods.
