About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lodge Manager to lead the operations of a remote, luxury safari lodge. The ideal candidate is passionate about exceptional guest service, team development, and sustainable hospitality practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily lodge operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to deliver a personalized and memorable guest experience.
- Manage budgeting, stock control, financial reporting, and supplier relations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and hospitality protocols.
- Handle guest relations with professionalism, care, and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with department heads (guiding, culinary, housekeeping, maintenance) to align operational goals.
- Drive and support sustainability initiatives and community engagement projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of lodge or boutique hotel management experience in a remote or safari environment.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Sound financial acumen with experience in lodge administration and reporting.
- Passion for wildlife, nature conservation, and authentic guest engagement.
- Ability to adapt to the challenges of remote living and logistics.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in a remote location.
- Hospitality diploma or relevant tertiary qualification preferred.
