Lodge Manager

About the position

Our client is seeking a Lodge Manager to join their team, based in Sterkstroom.

Successful candidate will be responsible for management of the day-to-day operations of the lodge in order to meet the specified standards, objectives and standard operating procedures.

Minimum Requirements:-

• Diploma in Administration or Hospitality
• 3-5 Years' experience in either Safari, Hunting or equivalent Lodge Management
• Accommodation will be available

Duties:-

• Ensure correct staffing according to business requirements
• Daily management reports
• Marketing and website management
• Ensure smooth running of all lodge operations, allocate duties to staff and ensure all basis are covered daily
• Ensure staff are well presented and equipped with items required for efficient service
• Maintain a high standard and appearance of team and lodge
• Manage the bookings and general reception duties
• Attend to any personal requirements of guests
• Administration of all lodge requirements (balancing, reporting, menu planning, etc.)
• Shopping to ensure food and drinks requirements are stocked
• Ensure the cleanliness of lodge, garden and kitchen
• Invoicing clients, stock takes, promoting of lodge and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Lead, manage and partake in activities as required by the lodge or requested by guests
• Social engagement with guests as required
• Management of the lodge, staff, garden staff and chef
• Any other requirements, as requested
