About the position
The Junior Automation Engineer is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for researching, developing, designing, and building automated systems and/or applications that are implemented to perform a variety of tasks reducing the need for human intervention in order to maximize efficiency.
We are seeking a Junior Automation Engineer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Automation.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders as well as external partners to identify
- Develop, configure and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline processes.
- Support Integration of automation solutions into existing systems and workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automations-related issues promptly
- Participate in testing, validation, and documentation of automation processes
- Assist in monitoring automation performance and optimizing for efficiency
- Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and best practices
- Performs any other related task as required.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Proficiency in Linux (administration and scripting).
- Strong knowledge of Python or other scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Java).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps).
- Experience using Ansible, N8N, and Metabase.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and automation frameworks.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Diploma or relevant certification in IT, Automation, or related field (degree advantageous but not required).
- 2·3 years of experience in automation engineering or similar role.
- Exposure to robotics, AI, or machine learning concepts is a plus.
Required experience:
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Familiarity with performance testing and automation pipelines.
- Moderate level demonstrated experience with robotics, AI and machine learning.
- Moderate level demonstrated project management experience.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
- Moderate level programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
