You take pride in precision and don't overlook the small details that keep people safe. Naturally methodical, you enjoy working independently while managing your own schedule and priorities. Clear communication comes easily to you, whether you're writing reports or engaging with clients on-site. You're professional, reliable and thrive in environments where compliance and accountability truly matter.
In this role, you'll conduct statutory inspections on forklifts and/or MEWPs, ensuring all equipment meets legal and safety standards. You'll identify faults across mechanical, hydraulic and structural systems, compile detailed reports, and issue compliance certifications. Working closely with technical and workshop teams, you'll align inspections with maintenance and repairs. You will enjoy this because your expertise directly impacts safety, operational efficiency and legal compliance, making every inspection meaningful and valued.
You'll join a well-established organisation in the equipment and industrial services space, known for its strong compliance culture and commitment to safety. The environment is practical, fast-paced and client-focused, offering exposure to a variety of industries including construction and logistics. Expect a professional setting where your technical knowledge is respected and relied upon.
A registered LMI qualification with relevant inspection scope is essential, along with 2-5 years of hands-on experience inspecting forklifts and/or MEWPs. A solid understanding of OHS Act, DMR and SANS standards is required, plus a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel. Strong reporting skills and technical fault-finding ability will set you apart.
You'll receive a competitive salary aligned to your inspection scope, along with the opportunity to work in a technically focused role where your expertise is central to operations. Exposure to diverse sites and equipment keeps the work engaging and rewarding.
