Legal Secretary: Foreclosures

About the position

My client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Secretary to join their dynamic Foreclosure & Secured Asset Litigation Department.

The ideal candidate will be confident, meticulous, and thrive in a high-pressure environment while managing a demanding litigation caseload.

Minimum Requirements

• 4–6 years’ experience in a Standard Bank foreclosure role, with specific expertise in litigation processes.
• Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload (±20 matters daily) independently.
• Solid experience in banking litigation documentation, including:
  • Affidavits
  • Summonses
  • Section 129 notices
  • Warrants of attachment
  • Notices & Conditions of Sale
  
  


• Excellent working relationships with Sheriff offices, banks, and debtors.


• Strong time management and ability to meet tight turnaround times consistently.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organised with a sharp attention to detail.
• Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and autonomous work ethic.
• Effective problem-solving and interpersonal relationship building across teams.
• Computer literacy:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of CACS, SB/CFL Legal, Lexpro, and GhostPractice (advantageous).
