About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Personal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and legal support to the Chairman and the Legal Department. This role requires discretion, efficiency, and strong organizational skills to manage legal documentation, scheduling, and confidential matters with professionalism
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Requirement: Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
- Preferred: Relevant Degree, Certificate or Diploma in Legal Studies, Administration, or a related field
- Experience & Requirements:
- Previous experience in a legal department within a large corporation or a top-tier law firm.
- Excellent linguistic skills with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- working in a fast paced environment with Long hours at times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Chairman.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all sensitive documents and correspondence.
- Act as the first point of contact for the department—screening calls, greeting visitors, and handling inquiries professionally.
- Manage complex diaries, schedule meetings, and arrange conference/meeting rooms.
- Draft, format, and prepare legal documents, including NDAs, agreements, and initial contract drafts.
- Maintain and organize legal records, case files, bid/tender documentation, and the Legal Tracker system.
- Coordinate and book national and international travel arrangements for the legal team.
- Assist with board and committee planning, including compiling and distributing board packs.
- Liaise with external legal service providers and manage invoicing to ensure timely payments.
