About the position
Seeking an experienced Legal Advisor with a minimum of 3 years' post-articles experience in the financial services sector. Must be admitted as an attorney of the High Court with solid knowledge of STIA, LTIA, FAIS, FICA, and POPIA. Key duties include drafting and vetting binder and insurance agreements, providing legal opinions, supporting compliance, and advising on regulatory matters. Based in Centurion
Duties and Responsibilities
- Experience in Binder Agreements
- Experience in vetting.
- Independently draft and review legal documents of a complex nature, including but not limited to Insurance Agreements, Commercial Agreements, GOI Policies, Compliance Policies, HR Policies, letters, minutes etc.
- Ability to conduct legal research and solve legal issues in a systematic and logical manner
- Ad hoc advisory services to partners, clients, or senior staff, on various legal topics
- Assist the compliance function as necessitated
Minimum Requirements
- LLB/Legal Degree
- Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court
- Sound Academic Record
- Minimum 3+ Years post-articles Legal Advisory Experience in the Financial Services Industry
- Experience working with Financial Services legislation ie. STIA, LTIA, Insurance Act, FAIS, FICA, POPIA
