About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legacy Systems Migration Specialist to join our client’s dynamic team in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a professional with strong software development skills who thrives on tackling the challenges of software obsolescence, system migration, and strategic transition planning. You will play a key role in assessing outdated technologies, designing future-proof strategies, and ensuring seamless migration while mitigating risks.

Requirements· 5+ years in IT infrastructure or systems administration with direct experience in server OS upgrades, decommissions, or application migrations.
· Strong knowledge of Windows Server [Phone Number Removed];+), IIS, SQL Server, .NET, C#, SSIS, SSRS, SQL.
· Ability to map and manage complex interdependencies across infrastructure, applications, and business processes.
· Proven experience working in governed environments (finance, insurance, or other highly regulated sectors).
· Familiarity with low-code platforms (ActiveBatch strongly preferred) and basic scripting (PowerShell).
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work independently and maintain detailed documentation.
· Strong understanding of compliance, risk mitigation, and internal audit principles.
· Demonstrated experience with Migration Planning and Strategies.
