Learning and Development Consultant

About the position

The role serves as a business developer and trusted advisor to clients, translating market intelligence and development needs into commercially viable, academically rigorous learning solutions, and supporting the learning process as a Learning Process Facilitator.

Two positions, working from home or hybrid, in the Western Cape (Cape Town and surrounds) and Gauteng (Johannesburg and Pretoria).

In this role

• Develop business through new and existing revenue streams, responding to inbound requests and identifying outbound opportunities
• Gather and disseminate market intelligence, and scope client, industry and market needs
• Design integrated learning journeys incorporating faculty expertise, coaching, psychometrics, action learning and digital learning
• Write, submit and present proposals, and provide input to programme budgets
• Assume the role of Learning Process Facilitator when required

What we are looking for

• Minimum post-graduate degree, preferably at master's level
• At least five years' experience in a learning and development role, preferably executive education
• In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles
• Credibility as a trusted advisor at senior, executive, C-suite and board level
• Commercial acumen in contributing to programme budgets and showing return on investment
• Competence in process facilitation
• Able to travel (local and international), with support structures for this
• Driving licence and own transportation

Advantageous: certification in coaching or process facilitation; registration with the HPCSA, SABPP or COMENSA.

• An established position, appointed on a twelve-month contract with the potential to move to a permanent position
