Key Duties and Responsibilities
Dealer Training & Development
- Establish training and development needs in the business and ensure appropriate solutions are implemented to close development gaps.
- Ensure training is aligned to approved budget.
- Ensure employees have access to TTP, GTLS and FUSO Horizon.
- Keep track of the dealer standard requirements (Training Hours) and ensure the dealership meets the standards.
- Liaise with the business regarding all dealer training, i.e. training program, scheduling, cancellation of training, etc.
- Coordinate Fleet Owner's Training in partnership with the Business.
- Ensure quotations are issued to customers for Fleet Owner's training.
- Facilitate Training Committee meetings.
- Ensure attendees sign the register.
- External Training: Create PO and ensure invoices are paid.
- Share delegates details with the supplier.
- Share the training confirmation with the delegate.
- Send evaluation form with the delegate and the Manager.
SETA & merSETA Coordination
- Act as a liaison between the company's Sector Education Training Authority (merSETA).
- Communicate SETA initiatives, grants and benefits to the employer.
- Apply for Grants and ensure that the approved grants are distributed.
- Submit the WSP&ATR timeously.
- Submit grants claims (discretionary grants) to merSETA.
- Ensure Mentors are registered on MerSETA system.
- Ensure there are Workplace Approvals.
- Liaise with MerSETA with regards to registrations, trade test application, collection of certificates for Learners and Apprentices.
Apprenticeship & Learnership Management
- Liaise with training provider (MOTUS) to ensure training of Learners and Apprentices are scheduled.
- Present to the business all topics regarding Learners and Apprentices.
- Liaise with MerSETA with regards to registrations, trade test application, collection of certificates for Learners and Apprentices.
- Inform all stakeholders of apprentices progress.
- Ensure travel allowance is paid to Apprentices every week.
- Ensure PO is generated and invoices are paid monthly.
- Learnership (DTSA & SMH)
- Manage the Learnership for SMH & DTSA.
- Ensure SLA signed timeously, PO is generated & Payment Processed timeously.
- Create Programme Timeline.
- Set up meetings with stakeholders to clarify timelines.
- Ensure all Topic Owners complete their tasks on time.
- Obtain monthly reports from Provider and setup monthly meetings to give/get updates.
- Monitor and manage the absorption process.
- Monitor and manage the replacement process.
BBBEE Skills Development
- Act as the primary contact for Skills Development on the BBBEE topic.
- Complete SD spreadsheets and upload to portal.
- Analyse information to track progress and identify gaps or risks.
- Liaise with BEE123/Skills123 consultants on options to close gaps.
- Participate in BBBEE internal meetings and give an update on SD element.
- Gather & save necessary information/documents timeously.
- Liaise with BEE123/Skills123 consultants to maximise points vs spend to help come up with the S&D budget for the following year.
Training Reporting & Audit Requirements
- Ensure you update the Monthly Training Spent report (SharePoint) - Monthly.
- BBBEE Audit (SD Element) - Yearly.
- EE Forum (training updates) - Quarterly.
- Training Committee (Training updates) - Bi-Annually.
- WSP&ATR Submission - Yearly.
- Dealer Standard Audit (C2.2 & [URL Removed] - Yearly.
- Training Budget - Yearly.
Corporate Induction
- Coordinate facilitate corporate Induction every month for new starts.
- Ensure the meeting room is booked, send calendar blockers to topic owners, invite participants, attendance register, be there on the day, refreshments, etc.
- Send evaluations to New Starts within 1-3 months of joining.
Bursary & Employee Assistance Scheme (EAS)
- Manage the bursary scheme program.
- Assist students with queries and arrange training for them if and when required.
- Submit invoices to Finance for payment.
- Ensure MOAs and AODs are signed.
- Assist employees with study assistance queries and action accordingly.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- 3 year HR/HRD Degree/Diploma or relevant qualification
- Skills Development Facilitator (SDF).
- 3+ years relevant experience in HR
Knowledge Requirements
- MS Office
- Understanding of HR value chain.
- Relevant HR legislation, e.g. SDA, LRA, BBBEE.
