We are looking for an Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team, based in Plankenbrug, Stellenbosch. Responsibilities:
- Design & Drafting: Create precise 3D models and technical drawings in SolidWorks for conveyor systems, machinery, and steel structures.
- Costing & Planning: Prepare accurate cost estimates and BOMs; collaborate with teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective solutions.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, coordinating with internal departments to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Client Interaction: Liaise directly with clients, present designs, and ensure clear, professional communication throughout.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets industry standards and internal benchmarks—accuracy is non-negotiable.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- 3–5 years’ engineering experience
- 3+ years’ SolidWorks proficiency
- Strong client liaison skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to manage project scope based on experience
