About the position
Take the next step in your engineering career with a leadership-focused opportunity in Cape Town. Our client is looking for a professionally registered engineer with extensive industry experience and strong technical capabilities to lead structural engineering work and support project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design development from concept through to detailed design.
- Coordinate structural requirements with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical leadership and support to project teams.
- Review engineering work for accuracy, quality and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineering professionals.
- Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency and technical outcomes.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering specialization (Masters degree beneficial)
- Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA.
- More than 10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 4 years' experience after professional registration.
- Revit and Prokon proficiency is essential.
- Experience with reinforcement detailing advantageous.
- Exposure and usage of Microsoft Project would be beneficial.
