About the position
Our client in the EPCM environment is looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to manage execution, ensure compliance, coordinate teams, and maintain quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Maintain an updated profile and build relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors to support business development and proposals.
- Develop proposal content including execution strategies, cost estimates, and technical documentation; lead technical sections when required.
- Communicate resource needs, ensure project coverage during absences, mentor junior staff, support training, and assist in performance reviews.
- Ensure piping engineering work complies with codes, standards, client requirements, and company processes; promote standardization and technical excellence.
- Participate in project planning by defining scope, schedule, and costs; coordinate with other disciplines and manage project changes.
- Lead quality assurance activities such as design reviews, peer checks, and corrective actions to maintain high project standards.
- Prepare and review piping calculations, layouts, studies, and technical deliverables; evaluate issues and provide recommendations and final documentation.
- Support procurement by preparing technical specs, evaluating bids, clarifying vendor queries, and ensuring vendor compliance.
- Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover; participate in constructability reviews and resolve site issues.
- Promote health, safety, environmental, and security compliance; resolve inter-disciplinary, vendor, and client issues to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirments
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience in a EPCM environment
- BTech/ BEng or BSc in Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (as required by law).
- Training in leadership and project delivery.
