As the Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge engineering solutions for a diverse range of projects. Your role involves analyzing specifications, conducting risk assessments, and leading a team of Engineers to deliver top-notch project outcomes. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders, manage external suppliers, and drive innovative solutions, all while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our installations and equipment, making every day both challenging and rewarding.
You'll be working in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town with a leading player in the Marine Mining, Oil and Gas, Marine Infrastructure, and Heavy Engineering sectors, that is a trailblazer in engineering excellence. With a commitment to sustainability and a track record of delivering tailor-made, innovative projects, This international project house fosters a dynamic and inclusive culture.
To excel in this role, you'll need a B.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with honours or a master's qualification. Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA is essential, along with 7-8 years of post-qualification experience in relevant industries. Your strong project management skills, coupled with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, will set you apart. A proactive mindset, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to travel as needed are also key requirements.
