Lead Electrical Engineer (Maritime & Offshore) (Netherlands)

ENVIRONMENT:

LEAD Engineers and global projects as the next Lead Electrical Engineer for both Maritime & Offshore of a dynamic provider of Sustainable Solutions in the Maritime industry in the Netherlands. You will also create schedules, providing valuable input for project forecasts while taking initiatives to optimize (design) processes. You will need to have a completed Higher Professional Education (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, 5 years work experience as a Lead Engineer with strong knowledge of MS Project & MS Office and be fluent in written and spoken Dutch.

DUTIES:

• Lead Engineers and, depending on the size of the projects, being responsible for one or more (international) projects.
• A strong technical focus, using your cost-driven mindset to achieve project objectives.
• Create schedules and manage Engineers in the Project team effectively.
• Provide input for project forecasts and being able to justify them convincingly to the Project Manager and management.
• Monitor the project schedule and ensure clear communication with the Project team and clients.
• Work according to procedures and guidelines for project-based work and take initiatives to optimize (design) processes.
• Short-term international travel for project purposes may be required.

The Electrical Engineering services for the shipbuilding industry include:

• Consultancy
• System Engineering and Design
• Delivery of customized and standard systems
• Panel Construction
• Installation Work
• Commissioning
• Service and Maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Completed Higher Professional Education (HBO) in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer in the industry.
• Strong knowledge of MS Project and MS Office.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Advantageous –

• Knowledge of Project Management methods.
