About the position
Our client, operating in the power generation industry is looking for a highly experienced C&I engineer to join their team on 2-year contract that's renewable up to 5 years.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Provide comprehensive C&I Engineering services covering all operations.
- Provide C&I Projects support.
- Mobilise C&I projects.
- Deliver operational C&I support.
- Develop and review C&I engineering designs.
- Investigate C&I plant system failures.
- Undertake engineering studies to support decision making.
- Implement functional safety and protection automation solutions for power generation assets.
- Perform OT and OT/IT cybersecurity assessments, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and incident readiness.
- Implement process and business automation solutions, including DCS integration and maintenance workflows.
- Provide hardware and C&I interfacing support to enable effective monitoring and seamless system integration.
- Execute software engineering, system configuration, and custom development for plant systems.
- Manage data architecture, including modelling, secure data transfer, storage, and enterprise accessibility.
- Integrate visualisation and decision-support solutions within control and monitoring centres.
- Provide component-level electronic repairs, PLC support, DCS diagnostics, reporting, and knowledge transfer.
- Deliver functional safety engineering across the full safety lifecycle for protection automation in power plants.
- Support industrial process automation, including OPC/DCS integration and business process optimisation using 4IR technologies.
- Implement advanced analytics, dashboards, AI-based predictive models, and asset health indicators.
- Conduct component-level repairs on electronic cards, power supplies, drives, and PLCs, including diagnostics and reporting.
- Ensure protection automation systems comply with applicable international standards.
- Provide cyber security support.
- Support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide process automation support.
- Provide hardware and software support.
- Deliver analytics and electronic card repair services to support plant performance.
Requirements:
- 15+ years' experience in Power Generation and Nuclear Plants.
- BEng / BSc/B-Tech in Electrical /Electronic Engineering.
- Registered with ECSA as a PR Eng or PR Tech engineer.
