Lead: Configuration Management at NRF National Research Foundation

About the position

Postion Summary:
This role must establish an effective configuration management culture within SARAO, and through the implementation of the configuration management functions, it shall represent, or delegate as appropriate, the configuration management functionary on relevant consortia and working groups that may be established internationally and locally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a Configuration Management function to all stakeholders
• Maintain configuration management tools and systems
• Control and manage the configuration changesEstablish a baseline of system settingsPerform continuous auditing and process improvementReview and update configuration management processesAdministration of the CMS to maintain data integrity, reliability and coherence
• Provide support and training to project teams and ensure the CMS is accessible to all stakeholders
• Implementation and customization of business workflows for key internal stakeholders

Minimum Qualification:

• Diploma / Advanced Certificate / NQF 6

Minimum Experience:

• 5-7 years

• Diploma in Engineering, Information Management/Technology or Business Management or equivalent CMII Qualification

Experience:

• Min 5- 7 years of experience in a configuration management role within a high-tech engineering, product development environment
