About the position
DBN000205 – Lawyer (Commercial Litigation) - PMB/DBN
Main purpose of the job:
To oversee a small team in the daily handling of intricate litigation cases, together with practical expertise in contract preparation and commercial and construction law advice.
Minimum requirements
- A Minimum of two (2) years of post-article experience in commercial litigation or construction law
- The capacity to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, a high-stress setting
- Prior team leadership experience - ideal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy abilities
- Prior Smokeball experience - advantageous
- Australian working hours (5/6am - 13/14pm)
Main duties & Responsibilities
- Writing letters and counsel
- Drafting business agreements and contracts;
- Drafting submissions, applications, and pleadings
- Drafting affidavits and witness testimonies; and
- Assisting with advice documents and other litigation as needed.
