About the position
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a Laser Assistant to join our steel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with laser cutting machines and will support the production of high-quality steel products through precise laser cutting operations. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut steel materials according to specifications
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and accuracy
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
- Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and performing routine maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a steel manufacturing environment
- Experience operating laser cutting machines preferred
- Knowledge of steel materials and cutting processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
