Landscaping Supervisor

About the position

Our client is seeking a Landscaping Supervisor to join their team, based in East London.

Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's landscaping operations and ensure that properties are always looking their best, as well as management of gardening teams.

Minimum Requirements:-

• Matric or equivalent, with additional education or certification in landscaping
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscaping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Extensive knowledge of plants, trees, and other landscaping materials
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving and decision making abilities
• Proficiency in budgeting and cost control
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to landscaping
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties:-

• Oversee and manage all aspects of landscaping operations, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Hire, train, and supervise a team of landscaping staff
• Source and order materials and equipment, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget
• Maintain accurate records of project expenses and report any issues or concerns to the management team
• Develop and implement landscaping plans and strategies to maintain and enhance the appearance of properties
• Monitor and maintain the health and safety of all plants and trees on properties
• Ensure that all landscaping equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
• Coordinate with property managers and residents to address any landscaping concerns or requests
• Monitor and control expenses related to landscaping operations
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in landscaping
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all landscaping work meets quality standards
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to landscaping
